New baby in the studio

Picked up a Kawai R-50 from E-Bay recently. Lovely over-compressed crunchy drum sounds from thirty years ago. A bit limited in what it can do - bit like the Roland Tr-505, but still a fun unit.

Now to keep my eye open for the R-100, give it the full Jan Hammer sound!

S3 cards update

The cards arrived yesterday - (brand 'spanking' new for £6 each!!!) 'Jazz' and 'Instruments'. They sound very 80's, the stuff you'd hear in Miami Vice and The Equalizer - verging on the cheesey, but luckily I like that!

I'll get round to posting some MP3's

UPDATE

Here's the demo track from the 'Dance' ROM cards
